The University has been training doctors, dentists and pharmacists in English language for many years. Our teaching system is very traditional: we place great emphasis on the theoretical subjects in order to provide a solid basis for the clinical training. The programs are designed to unify the basic and clinical sciences, as it is believed that scientific and professional development cannot be sharply separated but should proceed concurrently throughout the programs. In short, our main mission is to train well-educated professionals.

The graduates of the University are entitled to apply for hospital residency places worldwide. Citizens of the EU and EEC will receive their license automatically within the Community. Furthermore all graduates of the Medical Program are entitled to participate in the US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).

Important note:

Students who have failed in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or English Language in the final year of their high school studies are not entitled to apply to the following programmes:

Students intending to study Dentistry should have no failed marks In their final year of high school studies. 

Students who apply to Pre-medical program at Duna International College must sign a declaration in this regard in order to declare their awareness about this issue.

 

English Language Medical Program

(12 semesters, title awarded: Doctor of Medicine)

The first two years serve as the foundation of basic medical knowledge. From the third year training is extended with regular clinical practice, where students intensively take part in the work of the clinical departments and the teaching hospitals.

The Faculty’s excellent scientific laboratories furthermore offer those students a wide range of opportunities who would like to join high standard scientific research activities.

In the last two semesters – the clerkship year - students perform clinical rotations of 40 weeks, proving that they are ready to start their carrier as a physician.

 

English Language Dental Medicine Program

(10 semesters, title awarded: Doctor Medicinae Dentaire)

In the first three years the students are taught the basic sciences - medical and dental courses - which are the foundation of clinical dentistry. From the second year on more emphasis is placed on the study of dental diseases and their treatment. The last two years serve as the intensive clinical study of each of the various disciplines of dentistry focusing on the assessment and management of patients. In the final year students participate in elective programs, clinical conferences and hospital-based practices. The Dental Faculty is the regional center for dental care in the south-eastern region of Hungary.

 

English Language Pharmacy Program

(10 semesters, title awarded: Doctor of Pharmacy)

The training begins with an introduction to the basic sciences providing a basis for further pharmaceutical studies. In the second part of the program, students take part in general and special pharmaceutical education at the university departments, training pharmacies, institutes and laboratories The Faculty seeks to educate its undergraduates by promoting their intellectual development and their progressive accumulation of competence in all fields of modern pharmacy.

Undergraduate programs

Our engineering faculties offer BSc degree programs for the length of seven semesters and out of 14 (BSc) undergraduate degrees, 7(BSc) programs are offered in English language.

The programs focus on the scientific fundamentals, such as mathematics, physics, computing, mechanics, engineering, drawing, and chemistry, necessary requirements for chosen fields of engineering.

The engineering faculties provide a thorough knowledge of practical engineering and depending on the faculty, offers opportunities for specialization. Each faculty divides their programs into branches with compulsory electives and optional elective subjects. Depending on the BSc faculty, specializations may include; geo-informatics, corporate strategy, info-communication technologies, instrumentation and automation, IOT, embedded systems and robotics, big data, business intelligence, cloud service technologies, IT security, software design and development, environmental public administration, green energy, textiles and interiors and packaging. Experimental work executed in well-equipped laboratory facilities are core components of the training.
